Md. Shazzad Hossain Shaon is a Ph.D. student in Computer Science and Engineering at Oakland University, Michigan, USA. His research focuses on Biomedical AI, Computational Genomics, Graph Neural Networks, and Deep Learning, particularly predicting gene-expression responses to combinatorial gene perturbations. He develops graph-guided AI methods integrating protein–protein interaction networks and biomedical language models to improve prediction accuracy and generalization to unseen gene combinations. He has contributed to NASA-supported research and received an NSF-funded ACCESS research computing allocation. He also serves as Secretary of the ACM Student Chapter at Oakland University (2026–2027).
